Abstract

The contribution discusses a philosophical compilation preserved in a Tehran manuscript which may look like a doxography at first glance, but turns out to be based on introductory material to ethics, philosophy and medicine ultimately going back to late antiquity and most probably to the school of Alexandria, such as the prolegomena to philosophy, to Aristotelian philosophy and to medicine.
