Abstract

Given pedagogical shifts in social work and the increase in online programs, a continuous improvement strategy for revising online courses is needed in order to develop and maintain rigorous and quality educational and professional standards. Many online programs were developed by faculty with limited online teaching experience, therefore impacting the quality in the creation and delivery of online courses. This chapter describes the development and the piloting of a continuous improvement model in a Master of Social Work program based on the Peer Mentor framework. Lessons learned, best practices and a model of implementation are also discussed.
