Abstract

This chapter takes up the notion of ‘rebellious research’ using a playful, intra-acting presentation that includes an array of voices, texts, stories and images in its exploration. Focusing on the praxis of a post-human, diffracted approach to disrupting notions of subjectivity, research, referencing and publishing conventions, this chapter purposively cuts the reader loose from any entry into engaging with the text. There is not an invitation to understand or to assist the reader in ‘making clear’ the explorations in this chapter. Rather, there is an offering to jump into the river or stay on the bank (margem) of what conventions, norms, relationality offer; asserting that there is no alienation affect being employed, and no handrails offered … simply the work always becoming and in continual processes of doing/undoing in the pursuit of being.
