Abstract

Developing research-practice partnerships is a difficult endeavor, especially with schools and organizations that have been negatively impacted by the research community. By “standing under” to attain understanding (Ratcliffe, 1999), I illustrate how and why building authentic relationships with schools while avoiding an archaeological mindset (Lee, 2018) is a vital element of thriving partnerships.
