Abstract

One aspect of embodiment is the theory of transmigration. In this context, Ficino criticizes Plotinus apparent endorsement of the doctrine that human souls exist in a perpetual cyclic motion of ascent and descent between the divine and animal spheres. It is noted that even the Christian writer Origen erred with a similar view.
