Abstract

Utilizing the resources in the National Museum of Natural Science in Taiwan, I developed a natural aesthetics curriculum to enrich high school students’ learning of the arts and natural science. Specifically in this chapter, I exemplify the three STEAM learning modules, titled Natural Science Inquiry, Interdisciplinary Integration of Art and Natural Sciences, and Friendly Environment and Sustainable Ecology. I explain the pedagogical content of the three modules and use students’ work as examples to illustrate their learning of natural science, art, and selected aspects of Taiwanese culture. Emphasizing interdisciplinary and collaborative learning, students were able to acquire STEAM knowledge and enjoy practicing STEAM skills in their projects.
