Abstract

Q00 values are calculated for CO2-output of tench (Tinca tinca L.) and Cichlasoma bimaculatum (L.). For normal tench the Q10 is maximal at temperatures, between 10° and 17.5°. By accustoming the animal during several weeks to higher temperatures, the maximal value for Q10 is to be found at a higher temperature too. The gas-exchange of Cichlasoma bimaculatum did not show a maximal Q10 within physiological range of temperature.
