Abstract
The ischyrocerid amphipod Ventojassa dentipalma Kim & Kim, 1991 was recently collected from Otsuchi Bay, northeast Japan. The present specimens represent the second record of the species as well as the first Japanese record of the genus. Brief morphological descriptions and line drawings of diagnostic characters are provided. Details of the characters distinguishing the species from V. ventosa (Barnard, 1962) are discussed.
Résumé
L’amphipode Ischyroceridae Ventojassa dentipalma Kim & Kim, 1991 a été récemment collecté dans la Baie d’Otsuchi, au nord-est du Japon. Les spécimens présents représentent la deuxième mention de cette espèce ainsi que la première mention de ce genre au Japon. Des descriptions morphologiques brèves ainsi que des dessins au trait des caractères diagnostiques sont fournis. Des détails des caractères distinguant la présente espèce de V. ventosa (Barnard, 1962) sont discutés.
