Abstract
Pseudotaeniacanthus japonicus sp. nov. (Taeniacanthidae) is described based on specimens of both sexes recovered from the body surface and the bucco-branchial cavity of the beach conger, Conger japonicus Bleeker, 1879 (Congridae) in Japan. C. japonicus represents a new host for the family. Copepodids V-III of the species are also described.

Pseudotaeniacanthus japonicus sp. nov. (Taeniacanthidae ) est décrite à partir de spécimens des deux sexes prélevés sur la surface du corps et la cavité bucco-branchiale du congre Conger japonicus Bleeker, 1879 (Congridae) au Japon. C. japonicus représente un nouvel hôte pour la famille. Les copépodites V-III de l’espèce sont aussi décrits.
