Abstract

This article explores the interconnections between writing on addiction, Dante’s Comedy, and theological commitments. The narratives of addicted persons and recovery coaches come into creative play with the literature of Dante and the theological positions of Aquinas. This article explores the strengths and weaknesses of what transformation entails in the harrowing of the hell of the addiction and the hope for resurrection.
