The paper presents some comparative notes on a number of lexical items recorded during a field expedition to Bašākard and its neighbouring areas. The whole related vocabulary in the dialects of the region, denoting kidney, lizard, hedgehog, frog, and date-palm are thoroughly discussed. The history of the study of Baškardī with the relevant literature is also provided.
