Abstract

The locomotor activity of the larvae of Diura nanseni appearing in the drift is not synchronized on the 24h period under midsummer. A synchronization will not begin until the minimum light of the night is less than I50 Lux. The larvae are night active until emergence in April-May the following year. Their locomotor activity follows the basic pattern of locomotor activity observed also in water insects in middle Europe.
