Abstract

Archisotoma theae n.sp. was collected from sandy shores on the coast of East and West Norway. It is related to A. besselsi Packard, but differs by smaller body size, shorter sensillae on thorax and abdomen, shorter furca and different chaetotaxy. Attention is drawn to the taxonomic usefulness of the number and positions of setae on the prelabral field and dens.
