Abstract

Four distinct gland types were found in a comparative study of the sternal gland organ of 17 species of the genus Eusphalerum Kraatz. The subgenus Onibathum Tottenham as well as three further subgenera–Eusphalerum s. str., Abinothum Tottenham and Pareusphalerum Coiffait–are confirmed.
