Pauropoda have been collected from the Seychelles for the first time. 16 species were found belonging to one genus in Millotauropodidae and three genera in Pauropodidae. Allopauropus fjellbergi, scychellicus, maheicus, extenuatus, guadrídentatus and acutilinguis and Cauvetauropus proprius and clavistylus were new to science and are described and figured. A close study of Millotauropus silvestrii revealed new taxonomical features which indicate that the genera Millotauropus Remy and Rosettauropus Hüther are much more akin than was earlier considered or even so close that they may be placed in a single taxon. From distributional point of view the Pauropoda of the Seychelles are built up of an impoverished old element of widespread species and of Ethiopian-Oriental elements which can be recognized in the faunas of adjacent islands.
