Abstract

The morphotogy of the second and third larval instars of Hygrotus decoratus (Gyllenhal, 1810) is described from specimens from the Netherlands. The descriptions are based on specimens taken together with adults. Some information is given on the natural history of the species, and characters for separation of the Dutch Hygrotus larvae are presented.
