Abstract

Hahnia shubotzi Strand from Ruanda is redescribed. H. macrovulva Strand, H. rouleti de Lessert and H. kaeslneri Roewer are new junior synonyms. Comments are given on the variation in size, and in the shape of the epigyne and vulva. Hahnia rouleti var. maxima Denis is regarded a distinct species; because of preoccupation a new name, Hahnia gigantea, is proposed. Three new species are described: Hahnia mauensis from Kenya, H. upembaensis and H. dewillei from Zaire ; all three were cited before as H. rouleti.
