Abstract

The heteroecious species Gootiella tremulae has Juniperus spp. as secondary host plant but anholocyclic hibernation on roots of Juniperus is common. All viviparous morphs are described including the first instar larvae of the second and third generations. The known morphs of Gootiella alba are described and the possible affinity of this species to Aploneura juniperi is discussed.

The life cycle of Gootiella tremulae Tullgren, 1925 with descriptions of all viviparous morphs and a redescription of Gootiella alba Shaposhnikov, 1952 (Homoptera: Aphidoidea: Pemphigidae)
