Abstract

The genus Metrocoris Mayr is revised for the Malay Archipelago and the Philippines. Five new species are described: M. sunda from the Lesser Sunda Islands, M. borneensis and M. tigrinus from Borneo, M. celebensis from Celebes, and M. luzonicus from Luzon. Redescriptions are given for 5 species previously recorded from the region: M. philippinensis Den Boer, M. strangulator Breddin, M. tenuicornis Esaki, M. squamifer Lundblad, and M. nigrofasciatus Distant. Keys to all species are given for males and females, accompanied by figures of key characters, and distribution maps are given for all species.
