Abstract

Five new Afrotropical species of Colobostema Enderlein are described and figured: C. angulosum sp.n. (Burundi), C. autriquei sp.n. (Burundi), C. longicaudatum sp.n. (South Africa), C. martinezi sp.n. (Burundi) and C. maximum sp.n. (Madagascar); C. turneri (Duda) (S. Africa) is redescribed while Scatopse divergens Duda is removed from Colobostema. A key to the 8 known Afrotropical species of the genus is given and their affinities are briefly discussed.
