Abstract

Microtendipes lentiginosus Freeman, 1955, is redescribed in both sexes and the immatures described for the first time. The species, judging on the male imago, belongs to the numerosus group, while the immatures indicate a placement in the pedellus group. The genus Collartomyia Goetghebuer, with the single included species C. hirsuta (Goetghebuer, 1936), is redescribed in both sexes and all stages. The genus is shown to be closely related to Polypedilum Kieffer.
