Abstract

Limnophyes palleocestus sp. n., L. verpus sp. n. and L. bullus sp. n. are described as male and female imago; L. orbicristatus sp. n., and L. opimus sp. n. as male imago. The new species all belong in the minimus group. L. orbicristatus occurs in the Oriental region, L. opimus in the Palaearctic region, while the other species are present in both regions with L. verpus recorded also from North Korea. New records are given for L. asquamatus Andersen, L. brachytomus (Kieffer), L. minimus (Meigen) (with a new record from Burma), and L. difficilis Brundin.
