Abstract

The Encyrtidae genus Allocerellus Silvestri is reviewed and keys for the separation of males and females of the 12 known species are provided. The males of A. vittatus Annecke & Mynhardt and A. hortensis Annecke & Mynhardt are described for the first time and the following four species are described from South Africa as new: ater, curtus, mimus and notatus. New information on hosts and distribution is provided for all but two of the previously known species.
