Abstract

Pauropoda (Myriapoda) are reported for the first time from the subantarctic islands. The study is based upon a collection from the Crozet Islands brought together by Dr. Lewis Davies, Durham. Two species were found, both new to science. They belong to the genera Pauropus and Stylopauropoides, the former having a world-wide, the latter a restricted southern distribution. The new species of this genus is closely related to one South American and one Australian species.
