A new genus, Isoentomon, is erected within the suborder Eosentomoidea, based particularly on the short and seta-like shape of the foretarsal sensillae e and g. The genus comprises four new species from Brazil, pluviale, sylvicola, myrmecobium and paulista, and five species earlier described as Eosentomon: pumilio Bonet, setigerum Condé, atlanticum Condé, pseudosaharense Tuxen and hauseri Nosek. These species are redescribed. The zoogeographical implications of the new genus will be given in a paper on the Brazilian Protura.
