In 1968, I fixed a false neotype for Glypta nigriventris Ths., 1889, because four different species were under the same name in Thomson's collection. This erroneous neotype, even with the specific name written by Thomson, did not agree with the original description. It was also unknown at this time, that Thomson's small green labels represented the same locality as the white labels, inscribed "Rsiö". Only one female with this green label can be the true lectotype for Gl. nigriventris Ths. The numerous contradictory identifications have also been pointed out. My new lectotype from Ringsjön, confirms the taxonomy of Schmiedeknecht 1907, first revisor: Clypta extincta Ratz., 1852 (=nigriventris Ths, 1889).
