Abstract

26 specimens of Pauropoda were collected from Algar Koil Forests in Tamul Nadu State in SE India by Dr G. Sundara Rajulu, Coimbatore. Two species of Pauropodidae belonging to the genus Allopauropus were found, viz. A. viarti Remy, earlier known from India (Remy 1961, Scheller 1970), and A. damodarani n.sp. which is now described and figured. A supplementary description of A. viarti is also given because these new specimens differ slightly from the type specimens.
