This paper presents a discussion of the intersection and divergence in approaches between the early XIXth Dynasty Tale, “Apophis and Seqenenre” and the Kamose Stelae. Facets concerned with the post-Amarna trauma and its effect upon later native Egyptian interpretations (via Collective Memory) of the Hyksos form the basis of the discussion.
