In this article, God images are investigated among students of Dutch Catholic secondary schools. Almost 1000 students participated in the investigation. There appeared to be just a small differentiation where the God image was concerned. In general, there was merely a distinction between anthropomorphous and non-anthropomorphous God images. However, there is yet a third factor with religious students: theistical images. There is just one God image that is rather more often than not applicable: the aniconical God image: something higher exceeding our imagination, which we cannot name. Finally, there appears to be a strong connection between church attendance and God image, though they do not completely coincide. At least 25% of the interviewed people has a Christian God image detached from the church.
