The Nor Baṙgirk‘ Haykazean Lezui (1836–1837) is an unilingual dictionary of Classical Armenian, considered as the work of reference in the field of Armenian lexicography. In this paper, we introduce an ongoing project of digitization and enhancement of this work, in order to build a comprehensive and multilingual database for Classical Armenian. Our paper is focused on the methodology applied to update the content and the different process of “Character Recognition”, “Text Analysis” and the crowdsourcing of works. We define our work and outline the challenges we had to overcome to continue the work of erudition in Armenian lexicography.
