This essay analyses a wall calendar called "Saatli Maarif Takvimi" which creates a domesticated temporality. It reconstructs the relation of Turkish society with its past while reflecting three separate time experiences. The first one is linear time. The other is cyclical time found on the daily pages of the calendar where there are references to farming and agriculture. The third and most exceptional time concept discloses itself via a definition on the background and in the physical form of the calendar. It is a time that does not flow, called vakit in Islamic mysticism, and is based on spatiality.
