Abstract

The choice of Greek words in two passages in the Lukan Gospel appears to suggest that the Evangelist was consciously drawing upon two OT passages in its Greek version, i.e. the LXX. This close dependence on the LXX was motivated by the thematic affinity between the Lukan passages and their respective LXX passages.
