Abstract

Paul’s assertion that the Hebrews ate spiritual food (manna) in the wilderness should be compared with a neglected text of Philo, qg 4.102, in which he calls the manna “spiritual food.” The Armenian translator probably found an expression closely akin to πνευµατικὸν βρῶµα in Philo.
