Abstract

<title> SUMMARY </title>After the publication of the Sidereus Nuncius, Galileo and Kepler continued to investigate some main scientific and philosophical problems. They considered the debates about sun-spots and comets, the philosophical problems arising from Copernicus' condemnation and the discussion originated by F. Ingoli's and S. Chiaromonti's works. This paper examines the circulation of Kepler's works in Italy, and focuses on the following two themes: Federico Cesi's discussion of the Copernican system; Galileo's and Kepler's research on sun-spots.
