CALL FOR PAPERS - UTAFITI Journal of African Perspectives is inviting you to submit your manuscript – any topic in the humanities - for consideration in the next issues. We subject all papers to two blind peer reviewers and help at the house editing stage. No fees are charged. The editorial team anticipates on average a 3-12 month gestation prior from date of submission to readiness for inclusion in the next issue under production. Please send you submission to the editor (details below).
We seek to publish scholarship that goes beyond the research report stage of conveying scientific findings and providing recommendations. We are interested particularly in papers that inspire or propose radical, alternative paradigmatic shifts in the standard assumptions and methodologies involved in knowledge production about Africa. Utafiti is not bound by narrow confines of disciplines and its format does not follow the standard research report framework. Because of digitization issues we cannot offer Utafiti volumes prior to 2015 (volume 1-10). The holdings are only available in the library of the University of Dar es Salaam. Utafiti publishes in English as well as Kiswahili and French.
