The Journal of Literary Multilingualism explores texts written in non-native languages, in a mix of languages and alternating languages. It examines a wide range of literary practices from around the globe broadly defined by multilingual and multicultural situations.
The phenomenon of literary multilingualism is as old as literature itself but has received more scholarly attention as migration and globalization have increased in recent years. As the first international journal devoted entirely to this emerging interdisciplinary field, it offers a forum for cutting-edge research across the humanities and social sciences.
We welcome contributions that examine multilingual authors, texts, readers, and contexts, as well as cultural phenomena (e.g. translation and reception) and societal issues (e.g. migration and language politics), as they relate to literary texts and multilingual processes in all historical periods. In addition to scholarly articles, the journal publishes creative work by multilingual writers.

The Journal of World Literature (JWL) aspires to bring together scholars interested in developing the concept of World Literature, and to provide the most suitable environment for contributions from all the world’s literary traditions. It creates a forum for re-visiting global literary heritages, discovering valuable works that have been undeservedly ignored, and introducing aspects of the transnational global dissemination of literature, with translation as a focus. The journal welcomes submissions that can concurrently imagine any literary tradition, in any language, moving beyond national frames to simultaneously discuss and develop the cosmopolitan threads of a variety of literary traditions. It also welcomes contributions from scholars of different research backgrounds working collaboratively as well as from group research projects interested in showcasing their findings, in order to meet the challenge of a wider and deeper discussion of literature’s networks.

Matatu is a peer-reviewed journal on African literatures and societies dedicated to interdisciplinary dialogue between literary and cultural studies, historiography, the social sciences, and cultural anthropology.
Matatu is animated by a lively interest in African culture and literature (including the Afro-Caribbean) that moves beyond worn-out clichés of “cultural authenticity” and “national liberation” towards critical exploration of African modernities. The East African public transport vehicle from which Matatu takes its name is both a component and a symbol of these modernities: based on “Western” (these days usually "Asian") technology, it is a vigorously African institution; it is usually regarded with some anxiety by those travelling in it, but is often enough the only means of transport available; it creates temporary communicative communities and provides a transient site for the exchange of news, storytelling, and political debate.
Matatu is firmly committed to supporting democratic change in Africa, to providing a forum for interchanges between African and European critical debates, to overcoming notions of absolute cultural, ethnic, or religious alterity, and to promoting transnational discussion on the future of African societies in a wider world.

The Mawlana Rumi Review is an academic journal (est. 2010) devoted to the poetry, life, thought, and legacy of Jalal al-Din Rumi (d. 1273), the Islamic Sufi poet who authored some 60,000 lines of poetry, lectures, sermons, and letters in Persian and Arabic, and who founded the Mevlevi (Mawlawiyya) dervish order.
The journal publishes original articles, translations of Rumi’s poetry done from the original language, book reviews, and reports. Studies in World Cinema: A Critical Journal takes a pluralistic, polycentric and non-normative approach to the notion of ‘world cinema’ understood as a dynamic and all-inclusive concept. From a wide range of methodological perspectives and with a keen eye for the imbalances of power regarding access to and visibility in the global market, the aim is to inquire into both local and global cinematic practices as well as their interaction and contact zones, in both a historical and a current context.
Against this background, the journal invites contributions from scholars across the world on topics such as traveling cinematic tropes, creolization, transnational practices, global genres, remakes and rip-offs in new contexts, translation cultures, migrant and diasporic films and film cultures, collaborations and exchanges among filmmakers, co-productions and multinational filmmaking practices and networks, film festivals, films with ‘multinational themes’ such as globalization and climate change, the impact of new technologies on the international distribution of cinema, films which engender novel senses of the world in different cinematic practices, as well as theoretical discussions of the very idea of ‘world cinema’ and related concepts such as transnational cinema, but the list is far from exhaustive.
The journal also publishes themed special issues, for which contributions are invited from guest editors.
All articles undergo a double-blind peer review prior to publication.

The Dostoevsky Journal: A Comparative Literature Review is an interdisciplinary journal on research into the life and works of F. M. Dostoevsky and on the resonance of the Russian writer in other texts of world literature and philosophy.
