Founded in 1979 by the Dipartimento di Studi del Mondo Classico e del Mediterraneo Antico, AION Sezione di Filologia e Letteratura Classica is currently published on behalf of the Dipartmento di Asia, Africa e Mediterraneo of the Università di Napoli - l'Orientale.
The journal publishes articles in the field of philology, literature, history of Greek and Latin texts and their transmission throughout the centuries, with an eye to the Ancient Eastern world, Late Antiquity and the Middle Ages.
The journal aims to facilitate cooperation among scholars of all the fields related to the Ancient world and to disseminate their research results. AION accepts articles in English, French, German and Italian and it is aimed at academic readers, libraries and cultural institutions interested in the ancient world.

Editor-in-Chief:
Greek and Roman Musical Studies is the first and, at present, the only specialist periodical in the fields of ancient Greek and Roman music. It publishes papers offering cultural, historical, theoretical, archaeological, iconographical and other perspectives on music in Classical antiquity, and on its reception in later times (especially the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, but also more recent periods). The Editorial Board will also consider contributions on music elsewhere in the Mediterranean region, including Egypt, Syria, Palestine and Mesopotamia. Cross-disciplinary approaches will be particularly appreciated.

Jesus in History, Culture and Media
The Journal for the Study of the Historical Jesus provides an international forum for the academic discussion of Jesus within his first-century context. The journal is accessible to all who are interested in how this complex topic has been addressed in the past and how it is approached today. The journal investigates the social, cultural and historical context in which Jesus lived, discusses methodological issues surrounding the reconstruction of the historical Jesus, examines the history of research on Jesus, and explores how the life of Jesus has been portrayed in historiographical reception and other media. The Journal for the Study of the Historical Jesus presents articles and book reviews discussing the latest developments in academic research in order to shed new light on Jesus and his world.
The Journal for the Study of the Historical Jesus was founded in 2003 by Robert L. Webb, who served as its Editor-in-Chief until 2015. James G. Crossley and Anthony Le Donne served as Executive Editors from 2016 until 2022. Robert J. Myles and Sarah E. Rollens are the incumbent Executive Editors.

The Journal of Greek Linguistics (JGL) is an established (double-blind) peer-reviewed international journal dedicated to the descriptive and theoretical study of the Greek language from its roots in Ancient Greek down to present-day dialects and varieties, including those spoken in Asia Minor, Cyprus, Tsakonia, and the Greek diaspora. It aims to offer a focused outlet for publication of first-class research in Greek Linguistics, broadly construed.
JGL’s goal is not only to reach linguists interested in the Greek language but also to engage the linguistics community and Hellenists more generally. The input to JGL will thus comprise any topic relevant to Greek linguistics, in the broadest sense, but with some preference given to material with wider relevance to specific subfields within linguistics proper. The intention is therefore on the one hand to encourage discussions and research that illuminate different aspects - theoretical, historical, and descriptive - of general linguistics using Greek data, and on the other hand to offer innovative solutions to problems and issues specific to the description and analysis of the Greek language.
Greek has played a central role in linguistics and the study of language for centuries. JGL will bring the language into a key position in current debate within Linguistics and related fields.

Late Antique Archaeology is published annually by Brill, based on papers given at the conference series of the same title, which meets annually in London. Contributions generally aim to present broad syntheses on topics relating to the year's theme, discussions of key issues, or try to provide summaries of relevant new fieldwork. Although papers from the conference meetings form the core of each volume, relevant articles, especially syntheses, are welcome from other scholars. All papers are subject to satisfying the comments of two anonymous referees, managed by the discretion of the editors. The editorial committee includes Albrecht Berger, Will Bowden, Kimberly Bowes, Averil Cameron, Beatrice Caseau, James Crow, Jitse Dijkstra, Sauro Gelichi, Jean-Pierre Sodini, Bryan Ward-Perkins, Emanuele Vaccaro and Enrico Zanini.

International Journal for Ancient Philosophy
Founded in 1988 by Conrado Eggers Lan (Universidad de Buenos Aires), Méthexis seeks to promote studies and research in the history of ancient philosophy (throughout the course of its development), so as to offer scholars a venue for discussing and comparing their results. Within this general framework, the journal stands out on account of two distinguishing features: 1) it welcomes, or indeed solicits, contributions reflecting different schools of thought and methodological approaches, be they analytical, hermeneutical, historical or chiefly philological contributions; 2) the journal values the wide range of national traditions, including – as far as this is possible – from a linguistic perspective, as it accepts contributions in five languages (English, French, German, Italian and Spanish); by doing so, the journal seeks to present itself as an “international” publication, in the strictest sense of the term.

Since its first appearance as a journal of textual criticism in 1852, Mnemosyne has secured a position as one of the leading journals in its field worldwide. Mnemosyne welcomes contributions on any subject related to Greco-Roman Antiquity, including ancient history, philosophy and archaeology, provided that they have a clearly recognizable textual foundation. While Mnemosyne primarily features contributions written in English, submissions in French and German are also welcome.
European Science Foundation Ranking A.
In previous years, the acceptance rate for Mnemosyne has been 40% on average. The typical turnaround time from submission to final decision (accept/reject/revise) is approximately 6 months. The time between submission and publication online (as an ‘Advance article’) is usually 14 months in total. Following online publication, it takes around 4-6 months before an article also appears in a print issue of Mnemosyne. The Mnemosyne board strives for efficiency in the reviewing and editing process, but we are, of course, dependent on the time and goodwill of our reviewers.
