Al-Abhath is a peer-reviewed journal published by the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of the American University of Beirut. The journal publishes articles and reviews in the fields of Arabic and Middle Eastern studies.​The journal encourages the submission of articles written in English or Arabic dealing with Arabic and Middle Eastern studies.​ Since its inception, Al-Abhath has covered many related fields of interest: Arab and Islamic studies, sociology, numismatics, history, economic, language, psychology and astrology, concentrating on the Arab world. It appears in both Arabic and English and is a necessary and useful reference for anyone interested in and engaged in the study of any aspect of this part of the world. Al-Karmil: Abḥāth fī al-Lugha al-Arabiyya wa-l-Adab (Al-Karmil: Studies in Arabic Language and Literature) is a double anonymous peer reviewed journal published since 1980 by the Department of Arabic Language and Literature at the University of Haifa. It provides a forum for the study of Arabic language and literature as well as Islamic civilization in general, from the pre-Islamic period to the present. Al-Karmil welcomes contributions in Arabic or in English.

Bamboo and Silk is a peer-reviewed academic journal sponsored by the Center of Bamboo and Silk Manuscripts of Wuhan University. Based on unearthed Chinese bamboo and silk manuscripts from the Warring States period (476–221 BC) and Qin (221–206BC), Han (206BC–220 AD), Wei (220–265 AD) and Jin (265–420 AD) Dynasties, this journal focuses on studies of character identification and textual reconstitution, and studies of the social, political, economic and legal systems as well as ideology, culture, language, customs and other aspects reflected by these manuscripts. The journal includes research articles on bamboo and silk manuscripts and book reviews. All articles are peer reviewed by anonymous outside experts as well as by the editorial board, and reflect the current state of international academic research issues on Chinese bamboo and silk manuscripts.

Bamboo and Silk is primarily based on Jian Bo 簡帛, a Chinese journal that was initially published in 2006 by Shanghai Chinese Classics Publishing House Co., Ltd., with some articles chosen from Jian Bo 簡帛 and translated into English. The journal accepts submissions in English as well.

Brill Research Perspectives in Multilingualism and Second Language Acquisition provides in-depth and authoritative surveys of key topics within these disciplines. Brill’s Journal of Afroasiatic Languages and Linguistics is a new peer-reviewed international forum devoted to the descriptive and theoretical study of Afroasiatic languages. The territory of the Afroasiatic family spans a vast area to the South of the Mediterranean, extending from the Atlantic Ocean to the Middle East and reaching deep into the heart of Africa. Some of the Afroasiatic languages have been studied for centuries, while others still remain partially or entirely undocumented.

In the course of the second half of the 20th century, the constantly increasing qualitative and quantitative contribution of Afroasiatic languages to the elaboration of linguistic theory has met with considerable attention from the linguistic community. The Journal seeks top-level contributions in phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, comparative and historical linguistics. Its target audience comprises specialists in Afroasiatic languages and general linguists.The online edition offers the option to include sound and video files as well as other datafiles.

The Li Fang-Kuei Society for Chinese Linguistics 紀念李方桂先生中國語言學研究學會, named in honor of a consummate scholar who made monumental contributions in Chinese, Tibetan, Tai and American Indian linguistics, was established in Seattle on October 1, 2003 by a group including Professor Li Fang-Kuei’s family members, former students, friends, colleagues, and admirers. The Society launched its flagship journal, Bulletin of Chinese Linguistics in May 2006 together with the Center for Chinese Linguistics of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology as a permanent tribute to Professor Li Fang-Kuei. The Bulletin of Chinese Linguistics plays a vital role in the Society’s mission to foster high-quality research in Chinese linguistics and related fields. Its areas of interest include Sino-Tibetan and other languages related to Chinese such as Tibeto-Burman and Tai-Kradai. Published biannually, the journal provides a global forum for scholarly exchanges to continue the great tradition embodied and fostered by Professor Li, and to shed new light and explore new horizons in historical, comparative, and typological studies. All articles are peer-reviewed and are published in either English or Chinese.

「紀念李方桂先生中國語言學研究學會」,由李方桂先生的家屬以及門生故舊共同捐資,於2003年10月1日在美國西雅圖設立,以紀念這位對漢語、藏語、台語和美洲印第安語有著不朽貢獻的語言學大師。學會於2006年5月與香港科技大學中國語言學研究中心創辦了代表刊物《中國語言學集刊》,作為對李先生的永久紀念。學會的任務在促進中國語言學及相關領域的高品質研究,因此《中國語言學集刊》的角色乃至為緊要。《中國語言學集刊》所關注的領域,為漢藏語系以及其他與中國語言有關的藏緬語及台卡岱語等。這個期刊提供一個全球性的學術交流論壇,讓學者能夠上承李先生育成的偉大學術傳統,繼續在歷史、比較、類型研究上發出新的光芒,探索新的視野。《中國語言學集刊》中、英文稿兼收,年出兩期,所刊登論文均經同儕審查通過。

Cahiers de Linguistique Asie Orientale (CLAO) is an established peer-reviewed international journal whose mission is to publish new and original research on the analysis of languages of the East and Southeast Asian region, be they descriptive or theoretical. The journal seeks top-level contributions in any linguistic subdomain and in any theoretical framework with reference to a language or languages from the East and Southeast Asian region. Focusing at the same time on well-studied Asian languages, such as Chinese, Japanese, and Korean, and on those that are still partially or entirely undocumented, CLAO brings languages of the East and Southeast Asian region into a key position in current debate within linguistics and related fields.

CLAO is published in collaboration with the Centre for Linguistic Research on East Asian Languages (Centre de Recherches Linguistiques sur L´Asie Orientale – CRLAO).
