Die Digitalisierung durchdringt und formt zunehmend unsere Lebenswelt, Kultur und Wissenschaft. Auch für die Philosophie hat die digitale Transformation gewichtige Folgen. Zum einen stellen sich neue Fragen und Probleme, welche die traditionellen Bereiche der Ethik, Erkenntnistheorie, Ontologie und Ästhetik herausfordern. Zum andern wird durch die digitalen Medien auch die Praxis des Philosophierens transformiert. Die Reihe Philosophia Digitalis versteht sich als ein Forum für Studien, die diese doppelte philosophische Bedeutung der Digitalisierung kritisch reflektieren und anhand von neuen Medien und Technologien explorieren.
Digitalization is increasingly permeating and shaping our lives, culture and science. The digital transformation also has major ramifications for philosophy. On the one hand, new questions and problems arise that challenge the traditional fields of ethics, epistemology, ontology and aesthetics. On the other hand, digital media are also transforming the practice of doing philosophy. The Philosophia Digitalis series sees itself as a forum for studies that critically reflect on this twofold philosophical significance of digitization and explore it by looking at new media and technologies.
