Brill’s Central Asian Languages and Buddhist Texts (CALB) is a peer-reviewed book series publishing monographs as well as edited volumes on the languages and literatures of Buddhist Central Asia. These include, but are not confined to: Khotanese, Sogdian, Tocharian, Gāndhārī, and Old Turkic. Topics range from studies on Buddhist texts and text editions to linguistic works relating to the languages of the area.
Three volumes of the series are published in Open Access with full funding of the European Research Council in the framework of the HisTochText project (ERC Horizon 2020, Advanced Grant, No. 788205).
The series welcomes open submissions in English, German and French. Authors are encouraged to apply for Open Access funding with their own institutions or with relevant private or governmental funding organizations. Information may be found here.
