Series Editors: Chiara Giorgetti and Makame Mbengue

International arbitration is an essential and ever increasingly important dispute resolution system that applies to diverse parties, including states, individuals and companies. It also addresses a diverse range of issues ranging from territorial boundaries, to the law of the sea and international investment law. A series of handbooks dedicated to studying international arbitration in its multiples facets thus is both timely and topical.

This Handbook Series explores a variety of issues linked to international arbitration from a variety of different angles. Importantly, the series aims at exploring international arbitration writ large, including both inter-state arbitration and investment arbitration. Handbooks on International Arbitration will publish detailed contributions on specific forums, cross-sectorial studies that focus on overarching or comparative themes, as well as specific topics that are of particular importance for international arbitration.

Submissions are invited on topics such as: studies on specific forums such as ICSID, the PCA, UNCLOS Annex VII Tribunals and other arbitral tribunals; contributions that provide thematic analyses, such as international arbitration & environment; international arbitration & health; international arbitration & the regulatory power of the State. The series would also welcome big pictures issues, such as: reform in international arbitration or evidence in international arbitration, the future of international arbitration; arbitration in a Post-Covid World and others. Cross-sectorial issues could include studies on adjudicators/arbitrators; experts & witnesses, counsel, the roles of secretariats/registries and many other topics.
