Merging the journals Non-State Actors and International Law (ISSN 1567-7125) and International Law FORUM du droit international (ISSN 1388-9036), the International Community Law Review (ICLR) addresses all aspects of international law and the international community.

The Journal aims to explore the implications of various traditions of international law, as well as more current perceived hegemonic trends for the idea of an international community. The Journal will also look at the ways and means in which the international community uses and adapts international law to deal with new and emerging challenges. Non-state actors , intergovernmental and non-governmental organisations, individuals, peoples, transnational corporations and civil society as a whole - have changed our outlook on contemporary international law. In addition to States and intergovernmental organizations, they now play an important role. Rather than regional, the focus of ICLR will be multicultural, including alternative and/or critical approaches, with contributions written by scholars from all parts of the globe. The International Community Law Review, published four times a year, consists of articles, shorter articles/comments, case notes and book reviews.

The Journal of Egyptian History aims to encourage and stimulate a focused debate on writing and interpreting Egyptian history ranging from the Neolithic foundations of Ancient Egypt to its modern reception. It covers all aspects of Ancient Egyptian history (political, social, economic, and intellectual) and of modern historiography about Ancient Egypt (methodologies, hermeneutics, interplay between historiography and other disciplines, and history of modern Egyptological historiography).
The journal is open to contributions in English, German, and French.

The idea and practice of public theology has recently emerged as a distinct field of scholarship that proactively engages theology with contemporary public issues. The global project of public theology has expanded the western idea of three audiences - the church, the academy and the public domain – and their inter-relationship to multiple publics. It has now become a global discipline that intersects with the emergence of a world Christianity. Now, in the Anthropocene, those three audiences should be viewed in the light of a concern for the whole of creation, including those other creatures with whom we share life and upon whom we depend.
A public theology seeks to be in creative dialogue with different academic disciplines, including politics, economics, law and security studies, cultural studies, religion, spirituality, the natural science and the social sciences and the study of globalization. It is sensitive to the emergence of new publics that arise out of theology’s engagement with other new disciplines – like astrobiology – which redefines understandings of what is space and what is public. It is also a discipline that welcomes the expertise of practitioners reflecting on public policy.

The International Journal of Public Theology, affiliated with the Global Network for Public Theology, is a platform for original inter/transdisciplinary research in this field. Manuscripts submitted for publication must exhibit clear and sustained engagement between theology, broadly construed, and a matter or matters of public significance.
All articles undergo rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and blind refereeing by two anonymous referees.

Brill’s Journal of Afroasiatic Languages and Linguistics is a new peer-reviewed international forum devoted to the descriptive and theoretical study of Afroasiatic languages. The territory of the Afroasiatic family spans a vast area to the South of the Mediterranean, extending from the Atlantic Ocean to the Middle East and reaching deep into the heart of Africa. Some of the Afroasiatic languages have been studied for centuries, while others still remain partially or entirely undocumented.

In the course of the second half of the 20th century, the constantly increasing qualitative and quantitative contribution of Afroasiatic languages to the elaboration of linguistic theory has met with considerable attention from the linguistic community. The Journal seeks top-level contributions in phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, comparative and historical linguistics. Its target audience comprises specialists in Afroasiatic languages and general linguists.The online edition offers the option to include sound and video files as well as other datafiles.

As the first-ever video journal of education and pedagogy, owned by the Association for Visual Pedagogies Inc (AVP), our aim is to initiate a new movement in education publishing. VJEP integrates visual approaches to educational research and practitioner knowledge concerning learning and teaching in its broadest sense. It facilitates the rapid spread of ideas and open access to video pedagogy demonstrations in an international and comparative context in an ‘author pays’ model that is based on institutional subscriptions. The VJEP provides a platform for cross-disciplinary research and demonstrated pedagogy while providing a ready means to capture and globally share practitioner knowledge. VJEP wants to establish a new frontier in education publishing and scientific communication and to promote the aims of the Association for Visual Pedagogies (AVP) which seeks to privilege all things visual in thought and practice.

In particular, the journal focuses on 3 main areas:

- Educational research at large, in all forms of education and pedagogy, containing a strong video/visual component. The video component must be outstanding either in the methodology, in the way data were collected, or results that are shown. This includes in particular:
o Teacher education
o Classroom teacher and child observation
o Workplace learning
oTechnology and social learning across multi-disciplinary domains of practice
- Visual approaches to educational research
o Research on new visualization methodologies
o Research and case-based studies to facilitate video data collection, dissemination, critical engagement and analysis
o Integrated approaches

- Research in visual and digital humanities, including philosophical reflection on the use of digital and visual resources in the humanities, particularly:
o Philosophical approaches in the study of visuality in education and society
o Other forms of visual pedagogy such as documentary, film and social media
o Cultural analytics, cultural studies and ethnography

VJEP will publish 10 articles per volume per year, including interviews and videos on teaching practice. The papers will be published online only at regular intervals to maintain the journal’s impact and each will have a video component. Manuscripts will be subject to a rigorous anonymous peer review process.
