The pandemic and the social restrictions demanded to combat it, as well as the political challenges, have promoted thinking about the human being, his vulnerability, his freedom and self-determination in many ways. This article attempts to place this reflection within the horizon of the corporeality of the human being. In doing so, it follows approaches of philosophical anthropology and phenomenology, which are also of importance in medicine for a conversation oriented towards realistic self-determination of the patient.
