This chapter seeks to analyse the management of the drinking water supply in Andalusia between 1970 and 2000. It also offers a possible explanation of the factors that have determined the management models. Within this context, particularly noteworthy is the role played by the European provisions, the Spanish legislation, and the public service concept existing in Europe.
