After a brief introduction to the art of Olafur Eliasson, this chapter consists of a probing dialogue with him that focuses on his views on how he relates his work to the topics of aesthetic experience, somaesthetics, creativity, the ethical import of art and its power to communicate nonverbally. The dialogue explains the ways he seeks to merge the fields of art, architecture, philosophy, and science to create in his art a rich participatory, dynamic aesthetic experience that aims at sculpting a new interface between humanity and nature.
