Subject Highlights

My paper consists of three parts: the first discusses connections between Barthes and Shusterman’s ideas on photography, while in the second, utilizing a somaesthetic approach, I interpret Derrida’s writings on a collection of photographs. In the third part, I intend to map other ways offered by somaesthetics for the understanding of photography, relying on the degree of parallelism in Benjamin’s, Sontag’s and Shusterman’s notions of this art.
