A note from Bàrbara Molas, new Editor-in-Chief of Fascism!
“It is a great honour for me to become the new Editor-in-Chief of Fascism. As a historian and contemporary analyst of right-wing extremism, I know that Fascism has been crucial in bringing global and interdisciplinary attention to our ever more important field. It is my intention to protect the well-earned reputation that Fascism has achieved over the years and expand it in new directions. These include ensuring that Fascism reflects the gender diversity that characterizes established as well as emerging scholars in the field; and helping the journal become a platform for those scholars who can illustrate the ability for fascism to adapt to, and thrive in, non-European cultural and geographical settings. Aware of the challenges involved in undertaking such new directions, I am certain that these will be achieved thanks to the wonderful team of academics and technical support that ensures that Fascism is more than a journal, but a community. It is with great pleasure and excitement that I join that team, and that I accept the challenge.”
This is a fully Open Access journal, which means that all articles are freely available online, ensuring maximum, worldwide dissemination of content, in exchange for an article processing fee. For more information, see our Open Access Policy page.

"Much of the academic literature on the Italian and German regimes – and just about all of the popular history – goes about its business without getting too bogged down in the “generic fascism” problem. The devil is truly in the details. But the new journal Fascism takes the possibility of a generic concept of the movement as its point of departure, and in ways that seem worth watching." - Scott McLemee, in: Inside Higher Ed, December 5, 2012
