The fate of ethnography : native social science in the English-speaking Caribbean
In: New West Indian Guide / Nieuwe West-Indische GidsReviews the research tradition in the social sciences in the post-War Anglophone Caribbean. Painting a general picture of the intellectual climate in the social sciences divisions of the UWI, Carnegie concludes that most studies have dealt with economic and macro-sociological topics. Moreover, there has been a consistent emphasis on the larger nations of the British Caribbean.
