The present 15th volume of Scrinium contains a part of the materials issued from the 12th APECSS Conference that took place at the University of Okayama, Japan, on September 13-15, 2018, whose title was “Health, Well-being, and Old Age in Early Christianity”. The articles, based on the papers delivered at the conference, were selected and accepted following peer reviewing and revision as needed. In the next volume, Scrinium hopes to continue publication of more articles issued from this conference.
The good news is that these belated articles – as well as a number of other items – will become available on-line even before the publication of the next volume of our journal. Since 2019, Scrinium introduces the Online First service allowing users’ access to the peer reviewed articles months ahead of print publication – formatted according to the journal’s layout but still without page numbering. These articles immediately will be citable according to the title of the journal and their DOI numbers.
In the present volume, we propose a diplomatic edition of a unique document relevant to both Jewish-Christian relations in the mediaeval period and Second Temple Judaism, a Slavonic translation of Song of Songs made directly from a Jewish source, which has never been published in full.
Other articles and short notes in the present volume could be divided into two parts: some of them are dealing with Byzantine theology and philosophy, while the others deal with the non-Greek Eastern/Oriental Christianity.
