Journal of the Humanities of Indonesia

Wacana: Journal of the Humanities of Indonesia is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the Faculty of Humanities, University of Indonesia. It invites original articles on various issues within humanities, which include but are not limited to philosophy, literature, archaeology, anthropology, linguistics, history, cultural studies, philology, arts, library and information science focusing on Indonesian studies and research. Wacana seeks to publish a balanced mix of high-quality theoretical or empirical research articles, case studies, review papers, comparative studies, exploratory papers, and book reviews. All accepted manuscripts will be published both online and in printed forms.

Wacana has a double-blind review process. Authors are not told who review their papers and reviewers are not told who the author of a paper is. Peer reviewers may be informed of the identity of the author after a manuscript is either accepted or rejected. After a decision is reached, peer reviewers may be informed of the identity of the author of a manuscript.
A decision on the manuscript generally takes four to five months after submission; delays in obtaining reviews may prolong this process. Manuscripts are sent out for review electronically, and all correspondence takes place via e-mail.

Wacana uses i-Thenticate plagiarism detection service to ensure the integrity of all submitted manuscripts. For more information, please click here.
